FAQ

  • Why do prices show differently on the website to the check out page?

Currency Conversion! I have a website plug in to display the course price in YOUR currency. When you go to check out, the price is shown in the Australian equivalent (AUD). Our dollar isn't great atm, so most countries get a great exchange!

  • How long do I have to complete the course?

These are self paced courses which you can do as many times as you like, for an unlimited period of time. Many students find it helpful to go back and forth between modules to suit their own learning :)

  • What special tools will I need?

You can see the full list of items I recommend within each course 'preview', however most courses use just a standard range of items.

  • Do I need to be good at drawing or art to decorate ceramics?

Absolutely not! One of the things I love most about these techniques is that they are very forgiving, and seem to lift any skill that you do have. Designs can still be very effective when simple.

  • Do I have to be experienced with ceramics?

Not at all. These courses are designed to suit a beginner right through to an experienced ceramicist who would love to expand their skills. If you have made some basic ceramics, and been through the glazing and firing process before, that will be enough for most courses on this site. If experience is required for a course, there is a document to outline 'skills required for this course' within the preview.

  • Do I need access to a kiln?

Ideally yes. If you do not have immediate access however, that is fine. The work will keep until you are ready to fire. Its just so exciting to see the results!
