This was so much better for me, because I could rewatch videos, rewind and focus on details I needed to understand. The course is quite comprehensive, and I had a lot of fun with the three projects. I like that there is videos on the best ways to create the plates and how to determine when your piece is ready for carving. Finally, the quality of the videos and filming is wonderful- I felt like I was right there in the studio too. Thank you for putting this course together!

Absolutely not. One of the things I love most about this technique is that it is very forgiving, and seems to lift any skill that you do have. Designs can still be very effective when simple.
Many of the tools and materials are flexible, however the course is taught to include the advantages I found in using the Amaco Velvet Underglazes specifically. Many skills can still be learned using another brand, however any implications are up to you to consider and solve.
Not at all! This course is designed to suit a beginner right through to an experienced ceramicist who would love to learn more about sgraffito. If you have made some basic ceramics, and been through the glazing and firing process before, that will be enough.
Ideally yes. If you do not have immediate access however, that is fine. The work will keep until you are ready to fire.
This course is focused on the decorating technique of sgraffito and creativity. I have however included a bonus workshop on plate making as a bonus in the full course. Please join a beginners group or pottery club if you need help with the other skills.
You can see the full list of items I recommend within the course 'preview', however the minimum requirements to do the course well are; normal art materials (paint brush, pencil etc.) a pastry or make up brush, and Amaco Underglaze colours of your choice.
